If this is what “defending your wife" looks like to modern day society, then this nation truly is headed in a bad direction.
To anybody who doesn’t know the context, stop what you’re doing and go to Youtube now and look up “Will Smith punches Chris Rock"… and also do me a favor and get out from under that rock sometimes, I mean come on this is epic Hollywood ridiculousness here.
It’s not like I’m shocked or appalled to the point where I’d never watch his movies or listen to his music again... but still, Will Smith was out of line for that. I dont care how mad the joke made Jada or how tired he is of the recent scrutiny into his marriage and personal life (which is halfway because of Jada in the first place), I get it but it’s still not a good look. All he had to do was approach him backstage if he was that upset about the joke. Maybe even just the yelling would’ve been understandable.
This entire debacle was unacceptable in every way, there is no convincing me otherwise.
